A walk through Mythology

 Ramayan रामायण  King Janka ordered his minister to bring the bow in . The bow was brought in with a huge stone chariot covered with gold in it was the bow . Janaka asked sage Vishwamitra to ask Laxman first to lift the bow he failed . Laxman got very angry and started boiling in anger. Now Rama came to lift the bow without any difficulty he started lifting the bow . The hair in sage Vishwamitra started rising of seeing Rama lift the bow. Rama lifts the bow and puts the twang but while putting the twang the bow broke the sound of the bow breaking went over all" brahmand ".  Sita came forward and put the marrage garland on to the neck of Sri Rama. Seeing this Raja Janaka asked his messenger to go to Ayodhya to invite King Dasharatha. The messenger took only one day to reach Ayodhya and told Dasharatha what had happened.  Mahabharat महाभारत Raja Shantanu's Marrage with Ganga :- Once while King Shantanu of Hastinapur was on hunt he got thirsty and went in find of water and found a rushing water in a distance. He ran towards the sound . After reaching he saw a beautiful woman who was like a woman from swarga (heaven). Who was Ganga   . Shantanu fell in love with her and kept the proposal of marrage . Ganga excepted but kept a condition that Shantanu should not ask her or question her on any act which she is performing if he questions she would live Shantanu and go away  from Hastinapur. Shantanu accepted this condition. They had a Gandharva Vivaha . A type of marrage in which no one are invited. Many years  passed. Ganga gave birth to the first child who was a boy . Whole Hastinapur rejoiced . Ganga took her child in front of Shantanu and dropped it into the holy water of Ganga. Like this seven children's were dropped in Ganga .  Ramayana रामायण The great bow of Shiva:- Once in Daksha Prajapati was performing a sacrifice in his house . All the gods were invited leaving lord Shiva . Lord Shiva's wife Sati who was the daughter of Daksha.Shiva refused to go to the sacrifice because of the fight he had with Daksh before. Sati devi made a  decision of going to the sacrifice without invitation leaving Shiva behind. Shiv tried to stop her but he was unsuccessful in stopping her. She attended the sacrifice but her father didn't even se her face and started talking bad about Shiva . This was an insult to Dakshayani (Sati). She decide to creat fire and sacrifice herself and sacrificed her body. Hearing this news Shiva got angry and went into the sacrifice hall and killed Daksha with his trishul. The others who came to defend Daksha were killed by Shiva's arrows. After this lord Brahma and Vishnu calmed down shiva and asked him to forgive Daksh.  Mahabharat महाभारत Please note:- I have already  started Ramayana but I will continue writing ramayana as well as Mahabharat.  Ramayana The sage Vishwamitra was very pleased with Rama he had another work that was marrage of Rama and Sita. So to accomplish this task the sage took the princes towards Mithila capital of the king Janaka. The sage left he ashram with princes and he'd towards Mithila and at the evening they reached the river Sona . The sage narrated the story of  Kusha's son's kushumbha,kushanbha,Asoortajasa and Vasu. The sage took the princes in a way that they cannot get tired. He narrated the story of the places which arrived adn arrived at Mithila the capital of king Janaka.  The great bow of Shiva :- King Janaka brought the the bow of Shiva . The bow was brought up by thousands of elephants. When the sage and Rama arrived at Janka's palace the king said that " I was waiting for Rama to come. My daughter is a Avatar of Lakshmi. In the next day the sage narrated the story of the great bow .  The story will be continued.

 Ramayana The slaying of Tataka and Yakshini :- After hearing Vishwamitra's  message Rama gave a promise that he would kill Tataka and Yakshini . He held his bow and gave a twang. From this sound the demon Tataka came rushing out of the forest . Lakshmana cut off her nose and years with his arrows. Vishwamitra cried out to Rama that " Oh! Raghava you should slay this demon before night if she is not killed her strength will be doubled during night." After hearing the sage's words Rama took a arrow and killed the rakshasi . After the death of Tataka Yakshini came rushing towards Rama . She was also killed in the same way. After the death of these rakshasi the gods showered flowers on Rama.  Indra suggested the sage Vishwamitra to give Rama divine weapon's. Rama gets divine weapon's :- The sage Vishwamitra taught Rama all the divine and celestial weapons which the sage knew.
