A great epic comprised into short story 3

 Ramayana

After going out with sage Vishwamitra the sage was followed by Rama and Lakshmana. They reached the River Sarayu nine miles from the capital Ayodhya. The sage " Oh! great prince Rama please purify this water with your divine hands." This river's journey starts from the Manasa sarovar near mount kailash. After crossing the river Sarayu they reached Rishi kama's ashram . The sun went down. The rishi Vishwamitra did tapas for the whole night. In the morning he woke Rama and Lakshmana with a divine mantra "Kaushalya Sultana rama Purva Sandhya pravartate ". After this prayer Rama woke up and had a bath were the river Sarayu and Ganga met. After offering prayers to the sun god they bid good bye to rishi Kama and he'd towards the forest Tataka .

The forest of Tataka :-

The sage " Rama this forest was formed when the king of gods Indra slayed the demon 

Vritrasura with the weapon Vajrayudha  . There were two cities  Malava and Karusha . After slaying Vritra the king of devas had a sin of killing a brahmin. He went entered this forest with stress. The  devas and the Rishis bathed Indra with the sacred water of Ganga . Indra was purified and he was pleased and blessed this place to be a abode of Rishi's. But a Rakshasa Tataka has arrived here who is disturbing the Rishi's. Oh! Raghava you should kill her and save these Rishi's." 

Vishwamitra convinceing Rama to kill Tataka:-

The sage told rama that " A Kshatriyas should not kill a women but for the sake of lives of rishi's.this is Kshatriyas dharma. Four things are needed to run a kingdom . Dharma protects the kingdom . The king should protect the people who produce dharma . The Rishi's,saints, Brahmins, preists ." After this Rama prepared to kill the demon Tataka.
